• Person 2 : You Know what.”Jai Ho” is composed by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.

• Person 1 : Hey, Are you Nuts?

• Person 2 : Hey Hey ..Be Relax..I just told that statement to provoke you..Cool Cool Cool.But I think Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart contributed some to the “Jai Ho” soundtrack…Check it out.

• Person 1 : I don’t understand your intention.

• Person 2 : Don’t you find any similarity between the above audio clip (Mozart Symphony No.40 – 1st movement) and the “jai Ho” tune.

• Person 1 : I think . . . . . . . . No

• Person 2 : Hey..I am not saying that the tune is copied.It should be a coincidence or minor case of inspiration…

• I’m just listening to “Hathiri adoo maadhiri” from the movie “Surya IPS” by Ilaiyaraaja.

• I have noticed that the prelude in the song reminds me of the humming in “Kaadhalikkum pennin kaigal” from the movie Kaadhalan by AR Rahman.

• Note: I don’t know about Raga, major scale or minor scale. I’m just a layman. Experts should say whether it is a coincidence or inspired thing or just an illusion.

• For your information, Surya IPS released in 1991 and Kaadhalan released in 1994.

• The similarity lasts only for a few seconds.The point here is not about inspired or not.I just want to express the similarity i felt between these two songs.Please Comment on it if possible.

• Is there any connection between “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” sound track and “Muthu: Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali”?One of my friends told me that there is a connection.

• Robin Hood: Men in Tights (Music by Hummie Mann) got released in July 28 1993.

• Muthu (Music by A.R.Rahman) got released in October 23 1995.

• Hear the soundtrack “Villager’s training sequence” from the movie “Robin Hood: Men in Tights” here.

• Hear the soundtrack “Oruvan Oruvan Mudhalali” from the movie “Muthu” here.

• Do you feel any similarity between the two soundtracks? (At the beginning of both these tracks).

• Shall we call it a coincidence? I think no… The similarity may be due to the instruments (same kind of) used in both the soundtracks. What do you think?
